This project will restore native savanna vegetation on a degraded privately owned savanna. The site was used as pasture and is in an old field, successional state. The project will include establishment of primary food plant for the federally endangered Fender blue butterfly. The project area is within a eight miles of existing savanna which contain Fender blue butterfly habitat. This project will help develop local grassland and savanna restoration techniques and will assist in the development of a regional native seed network.
