Figure 1

Figure One displays the effects of quality child care by different child outcomes by three different computation methods of structural coefficient, correlation and partial correlation. The Y-axis runs from 0 to 0.6. The first set of bars is for the structural coefficient method. The first bar in the set is for child language with approximately 0.37 effect; the next bar is for academic skills with an effect of approximately 0.37; the next bar is for social skills with an effect of approximately 0.50; the next bar is for behavior problems with an effect of approximately 0.43; the last bar is for peer relations with an effect of approximately 0.39. The second set of bars is for the correlation method. The first bar in the set is for child language with approximately 0.25 effect; the next bar is for academic skills with an effect of approximately 0.23; the next bar is for social skills with an effect of approximately 0.20; the next bar is for behavior problems with an effect of approximately 0.15; the last bar is for peer relations with an effect of approximately 0.15. The last set of bars is for the partial correlation method. The first bar in the set is for child language with approximately 0.10 effect; the next bar is for academic skills with an effect of approximately 0.10; the next bar is for social skills with an effect of approximately 0.10; the next bar is for behavior problems with an effect of approximately 0.05; the last bar is for peer relations with an effect of approximately 0.15.
