I would prefer the legislation not be enacted. Do not use tax dollars to enforce burdensome regulations that wine drinkers have done without for centuries. If customers begin to demand ingredient lists on bottles, winemakers will provide them there, as well as other places such as their websites and tasting rooms. Third party publications already discuss wine contents when reviewing the products. Wine buyers who wish to know what is in their wine can find out without you mandating it. And if the winemakers won't tell them, they are free to instead buy wine from someone who will or to drink beer or soda or water instead. The cost of these labels will fall more heavily on the smaller wineries because they don't have the economies of scale that the bigger wineries do, helping the bigger wineries to snuff out their burgeoning smaller competitors. I do not have any affiliation with the wine industry. I simply enjoy a good bottle and believe that people should be free in America to label their bottle in any non-fraudulent way they choose. -Rush Olson- __________________________________ Yahoo!
