Task 2: Review the MPN Printer Setup

You can use the MPN Printer Setup dialog box to create MPN Printer templates. These templates are used to align your MPNs by controlling the horizontal and vertical placement of printed data. A template is selected, if needed, on the Direct Loan Print dialog box when you print MPNs. The MPN Printer Setup option should be used ONLY if your MPNs do not align when printed; consequently, this function is rarely used. Most Windows users do not need to create, set up or select an MPN Printer template because they are able to adjust the unprintable area in their default printer properties.

Select the MPN Printer button.

The Printer Template field contains a descriptive name for your MPN Printer template and holds up to ten characters. The Font Type field enables you to select one of four font types, all based on the Courier font, for your printer template.

The MPN Type field enables you to select the MPN type, either Sub/Unsub or PLUS, for which you want to adjust the MPN print alignment.

The remaining fields address the offsets that you can adjust for the data portion of the MPN and are filled with the default values based on the MPN Type. It is recommended that you first select a different Font Type before adjusting the horizontal and vertical placement of data with the X and Y coordinates.

Choose the OK button to close the MPN Printer Setup dialog box.
