HATCH ISSUES STATEMENT ABOUT TOMORROW'S POLYGAMY HEARING BEFORE THE SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE

WASHINGTON – Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today issued the following statement about tomorrow’s polygamy hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"The purpose of this hearing should be to highlight the important role state and federal officials are playing in these suspect polygamous communities. The hearing should be fairly conducted with the utmost goal of protecting innocent women and children from any form of illegal activity."
