Demand Exchange Program (DEMX)

Demand Exchange
Welcome to the Demand Exchange (DEMX), a BPA program that will give you the ability to curtail your load during system emergencies and volatile market condition.

Under the DEMX program, BPA works with you to define your load curtailment capability and determine benefits of participation. Even if your individual load curtailment capability is small, the DEMX aggregates your potential with those of other similarly situated participants and represents you in the wholesale energy market.

To log on, view current prices and make pledges, go to the Demand Exchange website by clicking on the above hyperlink, or view an introductory .PDF slideshow for further details on the DEMX program.

For further information, contact Brad Miller by e-mail at or by phone (503) 230-3764.
