Profile: |
The Knox County Medical Reserve Corps was created to strenghten the community by establishing a system for medical, public health and non-medical volunteers to offer their expertise during times of emergency, such as an influenza epidemic or act of terrorism. The MRC's activities will be intergrated with the established Knox County Citizen Corps and the Knox County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). The MRC will include licensed Healthcare Professionals, non-licensed Healthcare Professionals and non-medical volunteers who will be identified, screened, credentialed and trained for quick, efficient responses for public health emergencies. The Knox County MRC will also collaborate with the Ohio Central Region MRC coordinator.ref='http://www.medicalreservecorps.gov/detail.asp?id=183138;State=41'>norco
