Bighorn SheepThe observation of bighorn sheep in their natural settings in the canyons, slick rock, badlands and rocky ledges of the national parks of the Intermountain Region stir the imaginations of the U.S. public. The restoration of this decimated and fragmented species to its former vast range in the parks has been a formidable task that is being undertaken by the National Park Service and U.S. Geological Survey.
