USGS Open File Report 95-070 CTD Data
These data represent the output of the Conductivity-Temperature-Depth
(CTD) instrument used to characterize the water column at the sample
localities. Each file contains four columns, as follows:
- Temperature in degrees Celsius
- Salinity in parts per thousand
- Depth in meters
- Conductivity
Measurements are taken both as the instrument is lowered and as it is
raised again, so in each series the depth increases and subsequently
decreases. Station locations are indicated by the file names, which
are cross-referenced in
location.txt.
