A quarter inch copper tubing from a gas sample bottle is inserted perpendicular to the valve body through a porthole. A needle shaped member called "stem tip" with a very fine vertical-adjustment capability can be lowered on the copper tubing which will pierce through the tubing and release the gas to the outlet port (gas chromatograph). A fine dialing handle similar to a micrometer combined with a bellows accomplishes the fine adjustment of the stem tip.
