Ambassador Barrett Opens Full House –exhibition at Kiasma

Speaking to an audience of approximately 200, Ambassador Barrett officially opened the Full House – the Kouri Collection and American Minimalist Adventure -exhibition at Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art on October 16. In addition to the Kouri Collection, the exhibition includes works on loan from the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. The exhibition pays tribute to minimalism, which emerged in New York at the turn of the 1960s. Ambassador Barrett praised the cultural cooperation between Finland and the United States and hoped that in the future  we will continue to see more of this type of cooperation.  Kiasma has introduced during the past year a shift to featuring more American exhibits.
