Section 1 - sc Cable, buried (Expanded Insulation-Filled) and buried (Filled)
RDUP Acceptance Procedures for Filled Telecommunications Cables
 

In addition to the requirements shown under the general listing procedures, the following information is required in a request for initial acceptance of filled telecommunications cables.

Item 1: Test data indicating that the copper conductors comply with the finished conductor end product performance requirements of 7 CFR1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation, for each conductor gauge size.

Item 2: Test data indicating that the finished conductor insulation and finished jacketing material complies with the physical end product performance requirements of 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890(RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation.

Item 3: Test data indicating that shield joints comply with the finished shielding end product performance requirements of 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation, for a non-gopher and gopher type shield.

Item 4: Test data indicating compliance with the electrical end product performance requirements of 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation, for each conductor gauge size.

Item 5: Test data indicating compliance with the electrical end product performance requirements of 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation, for screened cable in any conductor gauge size.

Item 6: Test data indicating compliance with the mechanical end product performance requirements of 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation.

Item 7: Test data indicating compliance with the qualification testing (Appendix A) section of 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205),RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or 7 CFR 1755.890(RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation.

Item 8: A list of all materials used to manufacture cables to7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or to 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation. The list should include the manufacturer of the material, its product designation, and its product data sheet for each material.

Item 9: A 3-foot sample of the filled telecommunications cable manufactured to 7 CFR 1755.390 (RUS Bulletin 1753F-205), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables, and/or to 7 CFR 1755.890 (RUS Bulletin1753F-208), RUS Specification for Filled Telecommunications Cables with Expanded Insulation.

Item 10: Submit only 1 original and 1 photocopy of the required test data for each specification.
