Glickman's visit is the second stop on his four-day national tour to highlight the growing threat posed to American agriculture and our environment by invasive pests and diseases. Glickman will be briefed on citrus canker damage and tour affected lime groves at the Homestead Lime Groves, located at the intersection of SW 207th Avenue and 312th Street in Homestead at 8:30 a.m. This will be followed by a brief press availability at approximately 9:15 a.m. At about 10:30 a.m., Glickman will tour the Miami Animal Import Center, 6300 Northwest 36th Street, Miami Springs, where large animals entering the U.S. may be held to ensure they are not bringing in foreign diseases. Then, at about 11:15 a.m., he will view USDA's Beagle Brigade airport passenger and baggage clearance operations at Miami International Airport, Terminal E.
