Water Safety Notice!

Please ensure that your loved ones are wearing the right size life jacket when they are boating or playing on or near the water.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wants you to have a pleasant recreational experience. Many people drown on the nation's waterways each year and, in most cases, victims were not wearing a life jacket, the one tool that could have helped them survive when they entered the water. Please ensure that your loved ones are wearing the right size life jacket when they are boating or playing on or near the water. The Chief of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers needs your help as we try to reduce the number of public fatalities on our nation's waterways. Only YOU can help us do that!

FIREWOOD ALERT!!!!!: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers would like for you to be aware of the potential serious threat to our Nation's forest from the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). The EAB is a small insect that feeds on and kills ash trees and is transported via infested wood products, including firewood. Please visit the following website: http://www.emeraldashborer.info/ , to see if your area of the state has been infected and help us to slow down the progression of this pest by not bringing firewood with you to our campgrounds.
