U.S. Ambassador-Designate John A. Cloud to Present Credentials to President Adamkus

Media opportunity:  The credentialing ceremony itself is open to cameras only.  Members of the press are however invited to a press conference after the ceremony in the Presidency Press Conference Room, at 1:30PM, at which Ambassador Cloud will answer press questions.

U.S. Ambassador-Designate John A. Cloud will present his credentials to President Adamkus at the Presidential Palace at 1:00PM on August 17, 2006.  

Mr. Cloud arrived in Lithuania on August 10.  The U.S. Senate officially confirmed Mr. Cloud as the next Ambassador to Lithuania on May 26, 2006.  He was sworn-in by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on July 18, 2006.
