District of Columbia Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Mission statement:

The District of Columbia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCCADV) was established in 1986 by four women from different local community groups who discovered that they shared an understanding of the destructiveness, complexity, and staggering prevalence of domestic violence. Frustrated by the limited impact of their separate organizations, these four women created the DCCADV to unify and shape disparate local efforts into a single force aimed at eliminating domestic violence in the District of Columbia.
