Comments on Patterson and Doebling's letters

I walk to work almost every day and I can't tell you how irritated I get over bicyclists who travel across Omega Bridge at 30 mph. See quote from Scott Doebling's letter "especially important if you are going to cross the Omega bridge at 30 mph in the downhill direction, as many of us do regularly."

I want bicyclists to know that pedestrians can not hear them coming. If a pedestrian loses his/her footing at the time a bicyclist is whizzing by, there would be a collision. I have taken to walking in the middle of the pathway, to force them to slow down.

There used to be a 5 mph sign at either end of the bridge, what happened to that?
