Seasonable conclitions prevailed in the northern ani1 western parts of tlie district. I n tlie southeastern sec- tions warin and dry weather was quite general, but the temperatures were iiot higher than they frequcntly are in May, and the lack of tlic normal amount of rainfall was not serious on account of copious precipitation enr- lier in the pear.
