GIS resonant scattering, blinkers SUMER: Nominal. South pole coronal hole structure, blinkers UVCS: Nominal. white light studies, solitary wave studies LASCO: Nominal. Synoptic EIT: Nominal. Synoptic, high cadence (17 min) full disk 304 study MDI: Nominal. blinkers - hi-res magnetogram+dopplergram every minute, starting tomorrow half-hi-res field magnetogram plus dopplergram+filtergram SOLAR STATUS: High latitude active region is over east limb now, magnetograms show this is a new cycle region. Low latitude old cycle AR also on disk. PLANNED SCIENCE ACTIVITIES: Blinkers - short lived (1-2 minute) small (<3 arcmin) brightenings, are these related to SUMER explosive events?
