FOT report: - S/C nominal. A roll attitude jump (0.1 deg) yesterday at approx 14:30 GMT because a part of the roll stearing law was not uploaded properly. Fixed now. - Quite a few startracker SEUs (25). Gunter Brueckner asks for the result of the Matra investigation in the table of oscillations of the S/C he provided by Christmas. EXPERIMENT STATUS All activities for yesterday completed. - GOLF: 150 deg on the resonant cell. Resonance started. Not yet the final temperature. Both polarization mechanisms run all day and the accuracy of the 1/4 wave plate improved quite a lot. Close the door tonight prior to momentum management. - MDI: Image stabilization loop closed yesterday: very pleased with the results. Several hours of dopplergrams and magnetograms. A movie of 3 hrs has been produced. - SUMER: Baking out. - CDS: Started commissioning. Temperatures are dropping now that survival heaters are at 70%. 2 or 3 SEUs problems seen in 30 days--taken out. Software patch successful. Solved problems with time stamps. CDHS should be delivering all data now. Switched schedule for today and tomorrow. Started table loads and dumps and everything looks OK. Doing MCU commissioning today. Will tell Matra when opening doors. Will need POCC screens for monitoring CDS temperatures. - EIT: Zone heaters on. Doors open. No data of the CCD temperature since 6:30 EST yesterday because C3 images. Fine and ready for the second light today during NRT. - UVCS: Nominal, getting ready for first light today. - LASCO: First movie of six hours with time resolution of 20 min. There are short term fluctuations in the corona. Second movie with time resolution of 5 min (77 min long): global oscillations of the corona on 5 min frequency? Third movie of 1500 frames with time resolution of 2.5 min. Command problems yesterday: CMS lost single commands, no messages, no transmission to the S/C. - SWAN: Keep tracking the comet (no definitive results yet). - CELIAS: Commissioning of STOF high voltage. First protons seen. Also some sensitivity to UV that has to be investigated. TODAYs OPERATIONS Changes: 20 min NRT for LASCO/EIT. NEXT DAY PROGRAMME No changes. ISSUES Somebody is helping with the problems with the voice loops. Make sure your speakers are on. Everybody tells the SOC when each experiment finishes with commanding. MEETINGS Today at 14:00 weekly planning meeting at the EOF.
