Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy User Facility

Facility Description

Resonant Ultrasound Spectroscopy (RUS) is a unique, nondestructive testing and a materials modulus measurement technique of unprecedented accuracy. The technique is applicable to the smallest sample for any ultrasound measurement.

The activities at the RUS User Facility are primarily devoted to studying applications of RUS and related precision thermal expansion measurements, fabricating transducers, and measuring materials’ properties.
