Sep 2, 2004 I am responding on behalf of Mike Chrismer. You should have stopped receiving data from ADKS, LKHU and NETP on JD243. There was a construction mishap at the HGCSD office which required all computer and communications systems to be taken offline to prevent damage to them. Specifically a roofing contractor failed to provide adequate overnite protection after removing portions of the roof seal and an unexpected early morning deluge flooded a large part of the building. Since Tuesday disaster recovery experts have been working to remove the water, dry out the walls and repair damage. We do not know when it will be finished. Tomorrow, Mike may be able to start reassembling the CORS data logging and storage center but full operability may not happen until next week if everything works according to plan. The top priority of HGCSD is to restore core capability to administer the programs and permits as they tend to be of a more time sensitive nature. We will advise when the CORS are restored.
