Eward L. Bernays Papers. Sketches for two Note Cards.

Two approximately 3.5-by-5-inch, hand-drawn, holiday note cards, in pencil. They depict public-relations counsel Edward Bernays's frenetic life as the organizer of multimedia promotional spectacles. One, a Christmas card, portrays Bernays as a juggler standing on what appears to be a moving platform, using his arms, feet, and mouth (pictured as a broadcast megaphone) to balance trains, boats, airplanes, trucks, and telephones. A second card features Bernays as a magician who with his wand is causing trains to run, boats to sail, radios to broadcast, airplanes to fly, and telephones to ring off the hook.
