Question - Do locusts fly or just jump?
-----------------
"Locust " is a rather generic name that may be applied to several
different types of insects in North America, primarily grasshoppers in the
order Orthoptera and cicadas in the order homoptera, but is most often
used for the short-horned grasshoppers common in summer fields, which are
sometimes serious crop pests. All these insects can fly as adults, but not
in the immature nymph stages.
