Abstract: This Chippewa National Forest data set is an Arc/Info polygon coverage and associated databases for Forest Service lands within the Forest boundary. This data set graphically displays and describes any natural or artificially created vegetation which exhibits enough homogeneity to make it distinguishable from surrounding areas. Stands are both forested and non-forested. The data was developed for forest planning and project analysis. The data was manuscripted at 1:24000 using orthophotography base, resource photography, and district compartment maps.
Purpose: To aid in Forest planning and project analysis.
