We L---.Ic.. - .- - _ - _. were all as cheerful as the enclosed picture indicates. Next evening, a car knocked Sydney off his motorbike with the result that he is now in Addenbrookes with a compound fracture of the tibia and fibula and an injured knee. He is in traction but luckily not at all concussed nor has he any internal injuries, so that he is able to read and conduct the lab's business from his bed, but what an unfortunate thing to happen! May I remind you to send me those pictures of yourself which you promised me? Yours ever, .
