PERSONAL HISTORY
B.S. 1965, Electrical Engineering, University of Minnesota; M.S 1966, Physics, Mankato State University; Ames Laboratory 1966-present; Founding/charter member of the Electron Probe Analysis Society of America, later to be known as the Microbeam Analysis Society.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
Present interests deal with analytical applications of x-ray spectroscopy and electron beam optics/spectroscopy. These encompass studies utilizing scanning, scanning transmission, electron probe, transmission and optical microscopy.
