Elections Working Group (EWG)

The main purpose of the EWG is to act as a forum for coordination and exchange between donors and the Central Election Commission on issues related to elections, The key functions of the EWG are as

  • assist in aligning donor support in relation to the expressed needs of Palestinian national plans for electoral issues;
  • support elections at the national and local level;
  • coordinate and harmonize donor assistance to prevent duplication and overlap;
  • carry out coordinated and strategic dialogue with the purpose of identifying PA needs and align the donor community;
  • function as the main source of information for PA needs and achievements, donor funding and gaps.
  • The EWG reports to the Governance Strategy Group (GSG) on a regular basis.

    Membership in the group is limited to relevant donors and other institutions (e.g. relevant non-governmental organizations) who can add substantial financial or analytical value, as well as relevant PA institutions.
