3.2 HTTP Session Replication HTTP session replication is a key aspect of performance and scalability in the servlet container when deploying an application in a clustered environment. There are two main methods for HTTP session replication and one option we can address with both methods. The default method of HTTP session replication is full replication. Full replication means that HTTP sessions will be replicated to all nodes in the cluster. The other method of HTTP session replication with JBoss is buddy replication. With buddy replication, no matter how many nodes are in the cluster each node will have at least one buddy with one buddy being treated as the default. With each method of replication there is the ability to do full object replication or fined grained replication. With fine grained replication, only what changes in the HTTP session are replicated.
