3.4. The HTS Network Test Server

A test server must be provided to support some tests in HTS. HTS must be installed and run on the test server via the hts server [start|status|stop] commands

HTS run as root

HTS must be run using the root account.

SELinux and Firewall

The Network Test Server is to be run with SELinux enabled, Targeted Policy, with Enforcing on. The Firewall must be disabled.

Steps:

Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 on to the remote system
Install the Red Hat Hardware Test Suite, this include packages hts, lmbench, dt, and stress packages. These packages may be retreived from Partners (ftp://partners.redhat.com).
Enable the hts server by running: hts server start
