CTHelper.exe

  • A utility used to support driver features that require assistance or information available only at user level. The utility loads what we call driver helper modules (Currently CtSpkhlp.dll,ctagent.dll). Generally, the utility monitors Device's Arrival/Removal and various Events

Ctagent.dll

  • Do special workarounds to enable multichannel playback in WinDVD, without permanently burning 6 voices through the Microsoft KMixer.

Ctspkhlp.dll

  • Synchronizes Microsoft and Creative Speaker Configuration. Monitors Headphone Jack Insertion/Removal events if Ext. Drive exists and switch to HeadPhone speaker configuration if required.

Adgjdet.exe

  • Monitor Headphone Jack Insertion/Removal events if Ext. Drive exists and switch to HeadPhone speaker configuration if required. This is the old implementation (Audigy Legacy apps). The functionality is now moved to cthelper.

Devldr32.exe/Devldr16.exe:

  • In SBLive legacy driver, Devldr32.exe (NT platform) and Devldr16.exe(win9x platform) is used to load/unload devcon32.dll to support EAX/Soundfont. It will set the default midi device as well.
