A full set of icons for Windows is available from iconpacks.mozdev.org, and Grayrest has an icons tutorial for those wishing to create their own.
Unix/Linux cannot yet use different icons. Mozilla does not currently provide the window manager with enough information for it to choose the appropriate icon. This is being worked on for a future release.
On Windows, the splash screen is a bitmap image (Windows .bmp format). To use another image, save it as mozilla.bmp into the same directory as mozilla.exe. You can use an image of any size.
Changing the splash screen in Macintosh or Unix/Linux currently requires recompiling Mozilla with the new splash screen included.
You can turn off text or pictures on toolbar buttons. Open the Edit menu (Mozilla on Mac OS) and choose Preferences. In the Appearance catagory, set the toolbar button style you want.
This is not yet implemented in Mozilla. Currently, you can use View | Show/Hide to switch toolbars on and off
Open the Edit menu (Mozilla on Mac OS X) and choose Preferences. Switch on both JavaScript (in Advanced | Scripts & Windows) and Software Installation (in Advanced | Software Installation).
If it still doesn’t work, try downloading the XPI and installing it directly.
Check that Software Installation is enabled, then open the file in Mozilla by dragging it to the browser window; by opening it using File | Open File; or (in Windows) by double-clicking on the XPI file and telling Windows to open .xpi files using Mozilla.
There is not yet a method of automatically uninstalling XPIs other than themes. However, when you have uninstalled Mozilla prior to installing a new build, you can manually remove the unwanted XPI.
Mozilla includes a Form Manager and a Password Manager which can save and fill your form data and log-in information automatically. These tools can be accessed from the Tools menu. Mozilla also has a Master Password feature that let you control form and password auto-fill with one single password.
