Beta Beta
- PrivilegeManager
Until I actually sign the scripts (when they're ready) - you will need to edit the following line in your "prefs.js" file for special file saving and webtop privileges:
user_pref("signed.applets.codebase_principal_support", true);
You will then need to "Grant" the requested security privileges when prompted.
See more info on the Capabilities Classes on this issue.
- Page|Save option. You will need to "Grant" the requested security privilege for this tool to save it on your hard disk.
- Webtops
We need to request the "CanvasAccess" privilege via the netscape.security.PrivilegeManager to display the Webtop.
- Help Getting Started
Start by setting your window "Page Type". This will give you a "Preview Page" window to work with like with the demo. Then select from the Menu bar above to load items into your Preview Page.
Don't be afraid to experiment. You can use the "Undo" and "Redo" options to go to your previous setting and re-set things at any time like traditional authoring tools.
During the development of your webtop or channel you can also drag your items around and re-position them ...
- "Drag and Drop"
All items that you add to your page become individual "Drag and Drop" components within your page.
For Special Drag, click down with your right mouse button and then drag your item to where you want whenever you want.
During the development of your webtop or channel you can drag your items around and re-position them at any time...
- Saving Your Page
You can save your Preview Page at any time during the development of your webtop or channel.
The following are some different ways to save it:
- Choose the Page|Save option from the Menu bar above. You will need to "Grant" the requested security privilege for this tool to save it on your hard disk.
- You can also choose the normal File|Save as... (Ctrl+S) option from the Preview Page window that you developed.
- Or you can simply copy and paste the "Page Source" into another file.
- Customizer Beta
This customization tool can be used to develop Webtops, Channels, "Add Channel" pages, and "Preview Channel" pages for Netcaster, as well as other Dynamic HTML pages for your website or whatever...
More items comming soon!
Currently it's only been tested on my Win95 system...
- Demo of Customizer
This will run a quick demo that will only take a few seconds...
