Mozilla XPFE
The Mozilla browser suite contained a fully integrated set of components including:
- Mozilla Browser - Allows you to browse the World Wide Web
- Mozilla Mail - Allows you to view mail and newsgroups
- Mozilla Composer (formerly Editor) - A WYSIWYG (graphical) editor for HTML
- Mozilla IRC Chat (formerly Chatzilla) - Allows you to chat online using the popular IRC protocol
This is the standard suite codenamed SeaMonkey that has been available since 1998. Unfortunately, each component required the other, and applications using the Mozilla XPFE toolkit required Mozilla to be installed. They also all ran in the same process (they were seen as the same application by the operating system). This This has long since been considered software bloat and is being replaced by a different model based on the new GRE (Gecko Runtime Environment) and toolkit as independant of the browser suite. See section "Mozilla Firebird and Thunderbird"

- Mozilla Firebird (formerly Phoenix) - WWW Browser

are codenames that will be renamed Mozilla Browser and Mail in an upcoming release and replace the XPFE-based suite shown above.
