Menu bar icons: This local menu regroups all of the status menus included by default in macOS (generally available individually from System Preferences panes); they can be added to the right in the menu bar.
You can rearrange the menu bar status icons that are included in macOS by holding the Command key and dragging them around. To remove one, hold the Command key and drag it off the menu bar. For some menu bar status icons, holding down the Option key when clicking on the icon will reveal hidden settings and information that aren't normally shown.
Depending on the configuration, some menu bar status icons may not appear in the menu bar or may not function as expected.
Mode of operation for CrashReporter: By default, when an application quits unexpectedly, an alert message appears that allows you to reopen the application and send a report to Apple. It's the basic mode of operation of macOS, but two other modes exist. The Developer mode displays an alert message with miscellaneous debug information. The Server mode, turned on by default in macOS Server, doesn't display any message but stores the crash reports in the /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ folder and Library/Logs/CrashReporter/ folder in your home folder.
Install/Uninstall: These buttons launch the installation or the uninstallation of an Archives preferences pane that you can use to change the settings of Archive Utility.
You can choose to install the Archives preferences pane for the current user or for all users.
Set the window to floating mode: By default, the Help Viewer application displays a "floating window." (That is a window that floats in the foreground, above all other open windows.) Turn off this option to display this window like any other window, which can be partly or entirely hidden by other windows.
Turn off App Nap: App Nap is a feature that allows the computer to slow idle background applications so that they consume less energy. However, the performance of some applications is degraded, resulting in recurring and unusual delays. It is sometimes useful to turn off App Nap.
Turn off Gatekeeper: Gatekeeper is a macOS feature designed to protect your Mac from malware and misbehaving apps downloaded from the internet.
You can view Gatekeeper options by choosing the Apple menu () > System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab and then looking below the header "Allow applications downloaded from:". There are two options: App Store (allow apps to open only if they were downloaded from the App Store) and App Store and identified developers (allow apps to open only if they were downloaded from the App Store or if they were registered with Apple by an identified developer).
The "Turn off Gatekeeper" feature adds a third option: Anywhere (allow apps to open regardless of their source on the internet).
Verify disk images: You can use this option to turn on or off the verification when you open disk images.
Turn on font smoothing for non-Retina displays: You can use this option to turn on font smoothing (subpixel-antialiasing) for users with non-Retina displays.
This function will only take effect after restarting.
Hide the Quick Look window when the Finder is not in the foreground: By default, if you have open Quick Look and switch to another application, the Quick Look window stays visible. You can use this option to hide the Quick Look window when you switch to another application.
Click the Restore Defaults button to cancel all modifications caused by OnyX or by any other application. After the process has completed, the parameters will be reset, and the display will be as it was when the operating system and the applications were first installed.
