Please use this thread to discuss the latest nightly builds.
If you aren't already using Firefox Nightly, you should join us on the wild side. We get the newest features first, and developers generally listen when we give feedback (since they are generally still working on the features, instead of hearing about it months later once it hits stable).
Don't reuse your old profile folder - Firefox Nightly uses different profiles than stable or beta by default, so you can run Nightly and other versions concurrently. You can use Firefox Sync to keep your settings in sync across release channels.
You can try out Fission!
Set fission.autostart
to true
Restart Firefox

How can I reduce sensitivity of "drag a tab into a new window" feature?
It is driving me crazy... whenever I switch to a different tab it just creates a new window.
And no, it's not related to me dragging it, it's just that I'm doing it too fast and Firefox might be interpreting it as dragging.
Anyway, is there a way to decrease the sensitivity of that thing so it doesn't happen?
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but I've noticed when visiting the android authority website, my selfie cam opens, (most likely) takes a snap of my face and closes right away, this is something I had never noticed before I changed phone to one that had a sliding tray for the selfie cam so it has to physically open to take a picture. Of course this behaviour happens right before any gdpr/privacy checkup.
My questions are:
Have you ever noticed something similar before being documented ?
Is this legal as I have not consented to any of this!? (and didn't even have the time to opt out!)
Why the heck would they need my face?
I've since revoked camera permission from my Firefox browser but damn... This is infuriating!
(this is the link in question https://www.androidauthority.com/best-reddit-apps-android-734043/)
A video of it happening : https://imgur.com/gallery/2CIPIe7
I really hope this is a bug, otherwise this is a pretty scary behavior.
Developer Preview 70.0b1. Does this happen to anyone else, and is there a way to fix this?
I've come across services in the past that allow me to access them through my Google account and I'm wondering how I can do it with Firefox.
E.g. In youtube/vimeo/dailymotion website they support this, pressing space plays/pauses a videos even if you didn't click the video Play/pause function with your mouse beforehand to make it active, but For certain websites, such as twitch Or porn sites, I have to click the video play/pause button before it responds to the play/pause space key. any method to make it respond to space to play/pause the video instantly, without having to click the play/pause first, in these certain websites that don't respond to it ?
I want to use another user-agent for some site. How can I do it?
Im using Ubuntu 18.04.03 LTS.
How can I apply these 'user.js' and 'ghacks-user.js' to firefox.
I find GitHub A bit confusing.
And he is not referring to XUL addons or something actually unsupported on Android, since he is talking about the transition with Fennec, so it's about the actual Android compatible WebExtensions.
Edit: Clarification: See this issue as a placeholder meaning "If we replace Fennec with Fenix then think about how to deal with already installed add-ons based on whatever state add-on support in Fenix will have at that point".
Is Google Search Fixer safe to use? It was in recommended but now that flair disappeared in case of this extension
Did Firefox found something about this extension and decided to not recommend it anymore?
On one phone, I have more than a few dozen tabs. I recently gota new phone, and I want to know how to sync the open tabs from my old phone to my new one. Both are logged in to my account, but nothings happening. What do I do?
Every time I do a restart of my computer, I essentially lose all my FF browser data: settings, extensions, browser history, etc, and I am logged out of my FF account. So, save for my Firefox theme, for some reason, it acts like a fresh install of FF.
Now, I can regain *most* of this by logging back in, but, for some reason, it always misses installing an extension or two (Usually HTTPS Everywhere, and, this time, Reddit Suite, it looks like), it's still annoying as all hell to set up Firefox every bloody time I need to restart my computer. Especially considering I run a good handful of greasemonkey scripts, which I have to hunt down manually and set up (as some of them are manual code) every time.
This isn't an intended feature, surely? Any help would be appreciated.
I noticed something today that I'm not sure is intentional. With Resist Fingerprinting (RFP) enabled, my OS is changed in my UserAgent to report as Win10 (rather than Linux, which is what I use). However, JavaScript still exposes the fact that I'm running Linux. A quick demo is here.
[edit] Reported here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1577307
This has been happening since Firefox Developer was updated to 70.0b1?
Any help would be appreciated!
Firefox is inconsistent with saving browsing history, so I want to do it in no time everyday, combine two places.sqlite files. Preferably, an app that can do so, and if the method in mind requires me to do it manually, then it should be a quick method, just a few mins.
I was googling this question and was led to this 4 year old question in this very subreddit, which unfortunately didn't answer my question.
I did some digging, and it turns out that there is actually an addon for this, and it's called Auto Tab Discard by Richard Neomy.
Seems to work well, so I just wanted to pass this on for anyone that has been thinking the same thing.
